Thermo Fisher's Maxima SYBR Green/ROX qPCR Master Mix - 4,000 x 25 µL rxns is a ready-to-use 2X formulation for qPCR and two-step RT-qPCR using SYBR Green I dye for DNA detection without sequence-specific probes. It contains Maxima Hot Start Taq DNA Polymerase, dNTPs including dUTP and an optimized PCR buffer. The pack supports 4,000 reactions at a 25 µL reaction volume.
ROX passive reference dye is incorporated directly into the master mix. Nuclease-free water is also supplied. The Hot Start Taq component and optimized buffer are provided for specific amplification, while dUTP supports use with the included uracil-DNA glycosylase system for carry-over contamination control. SYBR Green I enables detection of amplified DNA without a sequence-specific probe. Only template and primers, and where applicable the selected probe, need to be added to complete the reaction setup. The mix is described for quantification of genomic, plasmid, viral and cDNA templates and for applications including gene expression analysis, siRNA validation, genotyping and pathogen detection. It is compatible with most real-time thermal cyclers and supports a wide linear quantification range.
