Learn how to use this product The UVP UV Transilluminators have an ultraviolet-blocking cover to shield the user from harmful UV radiation. Models include a stainless steel top assembly or powder coat paint.

Variable light intensity switch
The variable intensity models allow you to switch between three 302nm UV light intensities depending on your application:
UV transilluminators are also offered with variable intensity settings, which are suitable for various uses. The models with variable intensity can be recognized by the "V" at the end of the product name. High intensity is ideal for obtaining the strongest gel photography signal or the highest sensitivity at low sample concentration. The medium intensity is excellent for viewing and quick excision of a single band. Lastly, the low intensity is used for positioning and focusing for photography or excising multiple bands.

Choose 1, 2, or 3 UV wavelengths
UV transilluminators with 1, 2, or 3 UV wavelengths are available. The standard UV Transilluminator has an excitation wavelength of 302 nm and comes in three sizes, with or without an intensity switch. The 2UV transilluminator ("LM" model) has excitation wavelengths of 302 nm and 365 nm, and the 3UV transilluminator ("LMS" model) has excitation wavelengths of 245 nm, 302 nm, and 365 nm.

High-performance (25W) UV transilluminators
The high-performance UV transilluminators ("PL" model) carry 25W instead of 8W ultraviolet tubes, providing a total of
0 watts of brilliant UV illumination.
