ProCHO 4 Protein-free Medium, FFM, 1 L is developed for the production and downstream processing of recombinant proteins expressed in CHO cells. The protein-free formulation supports high-density cultures without the need for animal-derived components.
The medium contains very low levels of recombinant insulin to support downstream purification and regulatory compliance. It is used for concurrent transition of adherent CHO cells to serum-free and suspension culture and supports faster doubling times. This FFM medium contains phenol red.
ProCHO 4 Protein-free Medium can be used in fed-batch cell culturing with feeds such as eCHO Feed, PowerFeed A, and CHO Xtreme Feed. This BioWhittaker Cell Culture Media product is produced under cGMP and labelled For Further Manufacturing (FFM).
