Where more traditional transfection with either reagents or electroporation results in cell death and low transfection rates, the Nucleofection will result in high viability, high transfection efficiencies, and maintenance of primary cell functionality.

The P3 Primary Cell 4D-Nucleofector kit is optimized for the successful transfection of various primary cells, even hard-to-transfect cells. It offers five different Nucleofector solutions for transfection of multiple primary cell types. The conditions used for Nucleofection are transferable between the 4D-Nucleofector™ System and the 96-well Shuttle™ System.

Each Primary Cell Kit contains everything you need for your transfection experiments with the specific Nucleofector™ Solution, Supplement, pmaxGFP™, and Control Vector. All kits are available in different package variations. 4D-Nucleofector™ Kits "L" contain 100 µl single Nucleocuvette™, 4D-Nucleofector™ Kits "S" contain 16-well Nucleocuvette™ Strip.

If you're not sure yet which kit you need, you can start by optimizing the conditions for transfection of your primary cell type of choice by using the Primary Cell Optimization kit. The initial optimization experiment includes 80 reactions. All five Primary Cell 4D-Nucleofector™ Solutions P1-P5 are tested with 15 separate Nucleofector™ Programs plus one control. The Nucleofection™ Condition with the highest efficiency and lowest mortality is selected for all subsequent experiments and can also be used in the 100 μl single Nucleocuvette™.
