Thermo Fisher's Maxima H Minus Kit w/ dsDNase - 100 rxn kit provides a complete system for efficient synthesis of first-strand cDNA. The kit is available in a configuration with dsDNase, allowing genomic DNA removal to be incorporated into the cDNA preparation workflow.
The system uses Maxima H Minus Reverse Transcriptase, an advanced enzyme developed from MMLV reverse transcriptase through in vitro evolution. The enzyme has the highest thermostability among the described MMLV RT derivatives and lacks RNase H activity. These properties support first-strand cDNA synthesis while avoiding RNA degradation by RNase H activity during the reaction.
