Thermo Fisher's Maxima cDNA Kit with dsDNase - 200 rxn kit provides a convenient system for first-strand cDNA synthesis in two-step quantitative RT-PCR workflows. The formulation combines genomic DNA elimination and cDNA synthesis in a single-tube procedure, reducing the number of separate handling steps required before qPCR analysis. The kit uses Maxima Reverse Transcriptase, an advanced enzyme derived from M-MuLV reverse transcriptase through in vitro evolution. Compared with wild-type M-MuLV RT, the enzyme offers higher thermostability, greater robustness and an increased rate of cDNA synthesis. These characteristics support efficient preparation of cDNA from RNA templates while retaining a streamlined workflow. This configuration includes dsDNase and is supplied as a 200-reaction kit. It is intended for workflows in which removal of genomic DNA and synthesis of first-strand cDNA are performed before two-step RT-qPCR. The 200-reaction format is intended for repeated preparation of first-strand cDNA using the same integrated genomic DNA elimination and reverse-transcription procedure.
