HEKstar 293 Feed A is a chemically defined, protein-free and animal component-free feeding supplement developed for stable fed-batch production processes in HEK293 cells. It is part of the HEKstar 293 Media System, which consists of an expression medium and two feeding supplements designed to support efficient HEK293 workflows within one consistent platform.

In combination with HEKstar 293 expression medium and HEKstar 293 Feed B, Feed A supports efficient fed-batch production processes with high recombinant protein yields. The HEKstar 293 Media System enables reliable suspension adaptation of various HEK293 derivatives and supports stable growth kinetics with viabilities consistently above 90%.

Thanks to its broad formulation, the system is suitable for a wide range of HEK production processes, including virus packaging workflows and pilot-scale transient transfection workflows. HEKstar 293 Feed A is supplied sterile-filtered and is intended for research use and further manufacturing only.
