Thermo Scientific's Verso SYBR 1-Step QRT-PCR Kit + ROX Vial 400 rxns supports one-step RT-qPCR with SYBR Green chemistry. Reverse transcription and real-time PCR take place in a single tube, reducing sample handling and the need to transfer cDNA between steps. Verso reverse transcriptase can be used from 42–57°C and is described for RNA templates with difficult secondary structures, including GC-rich targets. The kit has a stated RNA detection range of 1 pg to 1 µg. An optional RT Enhancer can be added during the reverse-transcription step to reduce genomic DNA carry-over without a separate DNase I treatment. ROX is supplied in a separate vial, allowing the passive reference dye to be added when required for the selected real-time PCR instrument. An inert blue dye improves visual contrast during reaction setup and helps users check master-mix dispensing. The kit is compatible with major real-time thermal cyclers and is supplied for 400 reactions.
