Thermo Fisher's ThermoFast 96PCR Det.Plate MKII BC128(25)Flat deck is a white 96-well semi-skirted plate with a flat deck and Code 128 barcoding. It is directly compatible with ABI platforms, including sequencers, without requiring adapters.
The flat deck supports sealing and handling. Uniform thin well walls promote consistent heat transfer, while raised rims around the wells help maintain a secure seal and reduce evaporation. The plate has a cut corner at the A12 position.
The white plate format is optimized for qPCR fluorescence detection by increasing sensitivity and reducing variability. Dual barcode labels are positioned on opposite numeric and alpha sides. The labels are described as resistant to temperatures from −196°C to 120°C and coated to reduce rubbing during handling.
The product is supplied as 25 plates for qPCR/real-time PCR.
The semi-skirted construction combines access around the lower plate edge with a stable frame. The 96-well layout and flat deck are intended to simplify routine plate sealing and instrument loading.
