Thermo Scientific's TF 96 PCR Detect. Plate MkII White Black Letter 25 is a 96-well, white, semi-skirted PCR plate with a flat deck and black alphanumeric lettering. The plate is supplied in a pack of 25 and is designed for PCR workflows on major thermal cyclers, including ABI platforms and sequencers, without requiring adapters.
The flat deck supports straightforward handling and sealing. A raised rim around each well helps create a secure seal and limit evaporation, while the uniform thin well walls support consistent heat transfer. The plate has a maximum well volume of 0.3 mL when used with adhesive or heat seals. Its semi-skirted construction provides rigidity for handling, and the cut corner is positioned at A12.
The plate can be used for PCR, qPCR or real-time PCR, and sequencing applications. The white format is optimized for fluorescence detection in qPCR by increasing sensitivity and reducing variability. The plate format is supplied without caps or seals; adhesive and heat seals are referenced as compatible sealing methods for the stated maximum well volume.
