Thermo Scientific's Strips of 8 Low Profile Tubes & Domed Caps colours consists of low-profile 8-tube strips with domed caps for PCR applications. The strips fit 0.2 mL thermal cycler blocks and are designed to reduce the dead space between the sample and the heated lid.
Reducing this space helps limit condensation on the tube walls, supporting retention of the reaction volume. The format is especially suited to reaction volumes below 20 µL. Each tube has a maximum capacity of 150 µL when capped, and the strip ends are labelled for identification. The coloured format supports visual sample identification.
