SeaPrep Agarose 25g is a specialty soft agarose with ultralow gelling and melting temperature properties. It is used in techniques involving biomolecules and produces soft, clear gels.
The agarose is used as a medium for hybridoma cloning. It can also be used to expand cDNA plasmid libraries in a strictly representative fashion, helping reduce the possibility that less abundant clones vanish during amplification due to differential replication rates.
Analytical specifications include a gelling temperature of 8°C to 17°C at 0.8%, a melting temperature of ≤50°C at 1%, and a gel strength of >75 g/cm² at 2%. The product is supplied in a 25g pack.
