SeaPlaque Agarose 500g is a molecular biology grade, low melting temperature agarose. It produces gels with greater sieving properties and higher clarity than standard melting temperature agarose.
The low melting temperature supports preparative DNA and RNA electrophoresis. Its low gelling temperature also supports cloning of tissue culture cells and viral plaque assays.
Analytical specifications include a gelling temperature of 26°C-30°C at 1.5%, a melting temperature of ≤65°C at 1.5%, and a gel strength of ≥200 g/cm² at 1%. The product is supplied in a 500g pack.
