SeaKem LE Agarose 125g is a molecular biology grade agarose for routine nucleic acid electrophoresis. It is used for gel electrophoresis and blotting, where it provides sharp DNA resolution and consistent lot-to-lot performance.
The agarose has no detectable DNase or RNase activity and forms strong gels with low background after ethidium bromide, SYBR Green, or GelStar staining. Its low EEO contributes to high electrophoretic mobility of DNA. The product is also recommended for protein gel electrophoresis applications such as Ouchterlony and radial immunodiffusion.
Analytical specifications include a gelling temperature of 36°C ±1.5°C at 1.5%, a melting temperature above 90°C at 1.5%, and a gel strength above 1,200 g/cm² at 1%. The 125g pack size provides a defined format for laboratories working with SeaKem LE Agarose in electrophoresis and blotting applications, including workflows that require molecular biology grade agarose and strong gel formation.
