Learn more about this product
PPiLight inorganic Pyrophosphate Assay - 500 assays is a non-radioactive bioluminescent assay for detecting inorganic pyrophosphate, also referred to as diphosphate, pyrophosphoric acid, or PPi. PPi is a small diphosphate molecule that can act as a substrate or be formed as the product of enzymatic reactions.
Enzymes that use PPi as a substrate may include phosphotransferases and pyrophosphatases. Enzymes that generate PPi include cyclases, hydrolases, ligases, and DNA polymerases such as DNA Polymerase theta encoded by POLQ.
In the PPiLight Assay, the detection reagent catalyses conversion of AMP to ATP in the presence of PPi. The assay then uses luciferase to produce light from the newly formed ATP and luciferin. This format is supplied for 500 assays.
