NuSieve 3:1 Agarose 500g is a molecular biology grade, standard melting temperature agarose for analytical electrophoresis. It yields strong gels for fine resolution of small DNA, RNA and PCR products up to 1 kb.
The agarose is intended for analytical electrophoresis rather than in-gel reactions or downstream applications. Its easy-to-handle gels support gel processing and blotting, and performance testing covers fine resolution of DNA fragments up to 1,000 bp. The agarose can resolve DNA fragments from 10 bp up to 1,500 bp.
Analytical specifications include a gelling temperature of 32.5-38.0°C at 4%, a melting temperature of ≤90°C at 4%, and a gel strength of ≥1,400 g/cm² at 4%. The product is supplied in a 500g pack.
