The innuPREP RNA Virus PLUS Kit – KFFLX supports automated viral RNA extraction from a broad range of sample types, including cell-free body fluids, cell culture material, tissues, swabs, and stool samples. Compatible starting materials include serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, cell culture supernatant or enrichment medium (up to 200 µl), tissue samples (approximately 1–5 mg), swabs, and stool samples (approximately 50–100 mg).

The kit is designed for use with the KingFisher™ FLEX automation system and enables parallel processing of up to 96 samples per run, with automated elution into a 96-well plate. It includes a Carrier Mix containing internal DNA and RNA extraction controls.

Depending on the sample type, extraction involves a manual lysis step for tissue samples (30–60 minutes) or automated lysis using the KingFisher™ FLEX protocol (approximately 20 minutes), followed by an automated extraction protocol of approximately 37 minutes. The system is suitable for high-throughput applications and supports 96, 480, or 960 reactions using the KingFisher™ FLEX (KFFLX) platform.
