The innuPREP DNA/RNA Mini Kit is designed for the efficient isolation of both genomic DNA and total cellular RNA from a single sample. As an all-rounder kit from IST Innuscreen, it offers reliable performance with binding capacities of approximately 50 µg genomic DNA and 100 µg RNA, delivering excellent nucleic acid quality and yield.

The kit can be used with a variety of starting materials, including eukaryotic cells, tissue samples, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and yeast. Supported sample amounts include up to 5 × 10⁶ eukaryotic cells, up to 20 mg tissue, and up to 1 × 10⁹ bacterial cells.

The extracted DNA and RNA are collected in separate reaction vessels and are ready for downstream applications after approximately 15–40 minutes. DNA is eluted in 100 µl elution buffer, while RNA is eluted in 30–80 µl RNase-free water.

Typical yields depend on the type and quantity of the starting material, with up to 60 µg RNA and up to 40 µg DNA. Average purity values are 1.8–2.1 for RNA and 1.7–2.0 for DNA. This 10-reaction format is suitable for professional laboratory workflows requiring reliable DNA and RNA extraction from the same sample.
