Capricorn Scientific’s FreezeMe ZERO is a chemically defined, DMSO-free cryopreservation medium for the long-term storage of mammalian cell lines. The formulation helps preserve cellular integrity during freezing and thawing while avoiding the transcriptomic, metabolic and epigenetic effects associated with DMSO.

The sterile-filtered medium is serum-free and free from animal-derived components. It is suitable for both adherent and suspension cell lines and supports cryopreservation at cell densities from 1 × 10⁶ to 1 × 10⁸ cells/mL. This makes FreezeMe ZERO suitable for high-density cell banking and the preparation of Master and Working Cell Banks.

FreezeMe ZERO is supplied as a clear solution in a 50 mL bottle. This format provides sufficient volume for laboratories processing multiple samples or preparing larger cryopreservation batches. Store the medium at +2°C to +8°C and protect it from light. After controlled freezing at −80°C, cells can be transferred to liquid nitrogen for long-term storage.
