Thermo Scientific's dNTP/dUTP Mix - 1 mL is an aqueous nucleotide mixture containing dATP, dCTP and dGTP at final concentrations of 2 mM each, together with dUTP at 4 mM. The premixed format reduces the number of pipetting steps and helps limit reaction setup errors. All nucleotides have greater than 99% purity, confirmed by HPLC, and are free of nuclease activity and human and E. coli DNA. The formulation is stable for at least 100 freeze-thaw cycles. Up to 95% of the nucleotides remain in triphosphate form after seven weeks at room temperature, and up to 90% remain after 30 PCR cycles consisting of one minute at 94°C and three minutes at 72°C. The mix is designed for direct use in PCR with Taq DNA Polymerase, reverse transcription, cDNA synthesis, RT-PCR, qPCR, standard PCR and DNA sequencing. It is not suitable for PCR with proofreading enzymes or enzyme mixtures that contain proofreading activity. The supplied volume is 1 mL.
