Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) High Glucose is a widely used standard cell culture medium. It provides basic nutrients for the growth of a variety of mammalian cell lines, especially when supplemented with Fetal Bovine Serum. In the past, DMEM was shown to successfully cultivate primary cells, such as fibroblasts, HUVECs, neurons, smooth muscle cells, or even cell lines, such as HEK-293, HeLa, Cos-7, and PC-12.
DMEM comes in various formulations, in which the composition of components may differ. This formulation of DMEM comes without L-Glutamine and with Sodium Pyruvate.
