Thermo Fisher's Armadillo 96-Well Plate, Red Semi-Skirted, White Wells, Barcoded - 25 plates is a 96-well Armadillo PCR plate with a red polycarbonate semi-skirted frame and white, thin-walled polypropylene U-bottom wells. It is designed for PCR and qPCR applications, including high-throughput formats and robotic handling.
The rigid, thermostable frame is intended to resist warping during thermal cycling and provide mechanical stability in automated systems. Its ANSI:SBS footprint supports robotic compatibility, while the optically clear skirt aids liquid visualisation and stacking. A raised rim increases the sealing surface for automated heat sealing, and the indented alphanumeric grid supports well identification.
The thin-walled U-bottom wells are designed for heat transfer and sample recovery. Their white colour is intended to support sensitivity in PCR and qPCR reactions. The integrated frame-and-well construction also supports heat sealing.
Dual industry-standard Code 128 barcodes are positioned on opposite numeric and alpha sides. The barcode labels are specified to withstand temperatures from –196°C to 120°C and include a coating intended to reduce rubbing during handling. The product is supplied as 25 plates.
