Thermo Fisher's Armadillo 96-Well Plate, Red Semi-Skirted, Low Profile, Clear Wells, Barcoded - 25 plates is a 96-well Armadillo PCR plate with a red polycarbonate semi-skirted frame and clear, thin-walled polypropylene U-bottom wells. The low-profile plate is designed for PCR and qPCR, including high-throughput setups and robotic handling.
The rigid, thermostable frame supports mechanical stability during thermal cycling and automated processing. Its ANSI:SBS footprint provides compatibility with robotic systems, while the optically clear skirt supports liquid visualisation and stacking. A raised rim increases the available sealing surface, and the integrated alphanumeric grid helps with well identification.
The low-profile wells have a stated working volume of 200 µL and are designed to support heat transfer and limit evaporation with low-volume samples. This plate format is compatible with Roche LightCycler 480 Real-Time PCR systems.
The plate carries dual industry-standard Code 128 barcodes on opposite numeric and alpha sides. The barcode labels are specified for temperatures from –196°C to 120°C and have a coating intended to reduce code wear during handling. The pack contains 25 plates.
