Thermo Scientific's Armadillo 96-Well Plate, Clear Semi-Skirted, Low Profile, Clear Wells, Barcoded - 25 plates is a low-profile, barcoded 96-well plate with a clear semi-skirted polycarbonate frame and clear, thin-walled polypropylene wells. It is designed for PCR, real-time PCR and robotic handling.
The semi-skirted frame is thermostable and designed to resist warping during thermal cycling. An ANSI:SBS footprint supports compatibility with automated systems, while the optically clear skirt aids liquid visualization and stacking. Thin-walled U-bottom wells support heat transfer and sample recovery, and the raised rim design improves seal integrity.
The plate has a stated working volume of 200 µL and is compatible with Roche LightCycler 480 Real-Time PCR systems. Dual industry-standard Code 128 barcodes are positioned on opposite numeric and alpha sides; the labels are described as resistant to temperatures from −196°C to 120°C.
The product is supplied as 25 plates.
The indented alphanumeric grid supports well identification, and the integrated frame-and-well construction is designed to support heat sealing. Custom barcode configurations are also described as available for automated applications.
