Thermo Scientific's Armadillo 96-Well PCR Plate, Orange Frame, Clear Wells, Barcode - 25 Plates is a low-profile, barcoded 96-well PCR plate with a orange polycarbonate frame and clear, thin-walled polypropylene wells. The rigid frame is designed to resist warping during thermal cycling and provide mechanical stability during robotic handling.
The plate uses an ANSI:SBS footprint for compatibility with robotic systems. Its optically clear skirt supports liquid visualization and stacking, while raised well rims improve the sealing surface. Thin-walled U-bottom wells support heat transfer and sample recovery, and an indented alphanumeric grid helps identify individual wells.
The low-profile format has a stated working volume of 200 µL. The plates are barcoded, and the product information notes that customer-specific barcoding can be supplied for automated applications.
