Thermo Scientific's Armadillo 384-Well PCR Plate, Yellow Frame, WhiteWells - 50 Plates is a 384-well PCR plate that combines a rigid yellow polycarbonate frame with thin-walled white polypropylene wells. The construction is designed to resist warping during thermal cycling while supporting consistent heat transfer through the wells.
The low-profile format has an ANSI:SBS footprint for use with compatible automated handling systems. An optically clear skirt supports liquid visibility and stacking, while indented alphanumeric grid references help identify well positions. The U-bottom wells are designed for efficient heat transfer and sample recovery. A raised rim increases the sealing surface around each well for improved seal integrity during automated heat sealing.
The low-profile design has a 30 µL working volume and is intended to support low-volume reactions with reduced dead space and evaporation. It is suitable for PCR and qPCR/real-time PCR applications. The product is supplied as 50 plates.
Standard barcoding is available, and plates can also be supplied with customer-specified barcodes for fully automated applications that require plate identification and tracking.
