Thermo Scientific's Armadillo 384-Well PCR Plate, Yellow Frame, ClearWells, Barcode - 50 Plates is a low-profile, barcoded 384-well PCR plate with a yellow polycarbonate frame and clear, thin-walled polypropylene wells. The rigid frame is designed to resist warping during thermal cycling and provide mechanical stability during robotic handling.
The plate has an ANSI:SBS footprint for compatibility with robotic systems. Its optically clear skirt supports liquid visualization and stacking, while raised rims around the wells improve the sealing surface. Thin-walled U-bottom wells support heat transfer and sample recovery, and the indented alphanumeric grid assists well identification.
The low-profile format has a stated working volume of 30 µL. Each plate is barcoded, and the product information also notes that customer-specific barcoding can be provided for automated applications.
