AccuGENE 20X SSPE 1L is a 20X SSPE buffer supplied in a 1 L format. Saline-sodium-phosphate-EDTA buffer is a standard reagent in Southern and Northern hybridization procedures.
The addition of sodium phosphate helps keep the buffer more isotonic. The buffer is more often used in RNA blotting, while still having uses in Southern blotting.
The formulation contains 3.0 M NaCl, 0.2 M NaH2PO4xH2O, and 0.02 M EDTA at pH 7.4.
