Thermo Fisher's ABsolute Blue QPCR Mix Plus ROX Vial (1 x 5ml) is a 2X master mix for probe-based quantitative PCR. It contains Thermo-Start Taq hot-start enzyme and is intended for applications including gene-expression analysis, siRNA validation and genotyping. The formulation includes an inert blue dye that increases contrast between the reaction mix and plastic tubes or plates. This makes it easier to see whether the master mix has been aliquoted into each reaction vessel during setup. ROX is supplied separately, allowing the passive reference dye to be added according to the selected instrument setup. The product information describes the ABsolute Blue qPCR mixes as compatible with major real-time PCR platforms and available in configurations for different ROX requirements. This product is supplied as 1 × 5 mL. The probe-based formulation is provided as a premixed 2X concentrate, reducing the number of individual reagent additions needed when preparing qPCR reactions.
