It contains Thermo-Start Taq hot-start enzyme and is intended for applications including gene-expression analysis, siRNA validation and genotyping. The formulation includes an inert blue dye that increases contrast between the reaction mix and plastic tubes or plates. This makes it easier to see whether the master mix has been aliquoted into each reaction vessel during setup. The mix contains a low concentration of ROX passive reference dye.
