Thermo Scientific's 40x Yellow Sample Buffer - 4 x 1.25 mL is designed for use with Luminaris Color qPCR Master Mixes to color and track samples during reaction setup. When sample is added to a blue Luminaris Color qPCR reaction mix, the mixture turns green, providing a visible indication that the sample has been dispensed. This color change is particularly useful with opaque white qPCR plates and tubes, where the liquid itself may be difficult to see. The buffer consists of an inert yellow dye in aqueous solution at pH 8.0. It is supplied as a 40X concentrate and is used at a 1X final concentration in the completed reaction. The yellow dye does not affect qPCR assay specificity or sensitivity. Its absorption maximum is 413 nm. The pack contains four vials of 1.25 mL each. The concentrated format allows the buffer to be diluted directly into the qPCR reaction to the specified 1X working concentration.
