The WET FRED set facilitates the application of large cell culture supernatant or lysate volumes to gravity flow columns. It relies on hydrostatic pressure (the siphon principle) and connects the gravity flow column with the bottle containing the lysate or buffer. With the WET FRED connected, the setup does not require supervision during the application, as the last drop filter prevents the column from running dry. Its small size and flexibility make it suitable for benchtop use, cold rooms, and refrigerators.
After every use, the WET FRED should be carefully cleaned. The set includes a column adapter, 2X tube/luer adapter female, 2X tube/luer adapter male, 20 ml syringe, 5 ml syringe, 6 cm tube, 100 cm tube, bottleneck adapter for column, and a last drop filter.
