The Strep-Tactin®XT 4Flow® FPLC columns are ideal for automated affinity purification using liquid chromatography devices like Äkta® (Cytiva). The FPLC columns contain a crosslinked agarose coupled to the streptavidin variant Strep-Tactin®XT. The resin offers outstanding target purity (>95%) and high binding affinity. Therefore, it is recommended for all protein classes, especially low-abundant or challenging proteins. Because of the low agarose concentration (4%) is particularly suitable for large target protein purification.
The Strep-Tactin®XT 4Flow® high capacity FPLC columns are recommended for higher protein yields, and the Strep-Tactin® Superflow® high capacity FPLC columns are recommended when working with multimeric proteins since the increased avidity might influence elution efficiency.
Please note that the Strep-Tactin®XT 4Flow® cartridges have been renamed Strep-Tactin®XT 4Flow® FPLC columns.
