MEXi-293E cells are human embryonic kidney (HEK) cells derived from the 293 cell line and are part of the MEXi mammalian expression system. The cell line is used for the propagation of plasmids and expression of recombinant proteins in mammalian cells. The cell line is adapted for growth in suspension and use with the MEXi cell culture medium. It expresses the EBNA-1 protein for episomal replication of oriP-harboring plasmids (pDSG-IBA vectors). The Mexi-293E cells are part of the MEXi mammalian expression system.
The MEXi mammalian expression system includes the MEXi-293E cell line, various pDSG expression vectors, the MEXi-CM culture medium, and the MEXi-TM transfection medium.
