The Isohelix DNA GeneFiX Assisted Saliva collector can collect 1 ml of saliva and has been designed to maximize purity without compromising the yield. It stabilizes DNA and RNA at room temperature and is suitable to be used for clinic-based, home, and field sampling. It is specially designed for donors who find it challenging to deliver saliva, such as children.The DNA-assisted kit contains the standard GeneFiX™ components and two absorbent swabs to assist the saliva collection. The swab is simply squeezed against the inside of the funnel to release the saliva into the pre-filled and fully tested Non-Toxic 1ml of the stabilized buffer.
The collection tube is pre-filled with a non-toxic and guanidinium-free stabilization buffer. Furthermore, the collection tubes can withstand 95k Physical pressures specified for leakproof sample transport. The tube has a simple screw-on funnel that delivers the saliva sample directly and quickly into the buffer. It requires no specialist supervision, making remote sampling possible.
Clear, legible markings on the GeneFiX™ collection tubes indicate the correct volume of Saliva to be delivered. The patented design funnel prevents spillages, and saliva flows back even when knocked over.
